You can access the websites listed here on the home screen of this website. This page describes why these sites are beneficial to your child.
Click on the Wonder's Reading Link (Wonders Kids) on our homepage. This is filled with games, stories and activities to reinforce what we are reading in class. It also has an electronic version of the books we are reading in class each week.
Xtra Math is a great website to help your child increase math fact fluency and improve basic math skills. I made a few modifications to Xtra Math. Since we are practicing multiplication, I now have each child's log in set at multiplication. Please see that your child takes time to login and complete at least three lessons per week. The pin number to login is glued in your child's planner. If you do not see it, please contact me.
Raz Kids is a reading website to help your child improve comprehension. Everyone is set up at their Lexile Range to guarantee books at the correct level for comprehension questions. Log in info can be found in the front of the planners. Each child should grow at least 100 Lexile points from the beginning of the year to the end. Third grade proficiency scores are from 550 to 800.
Moby Max a website to practice skills at your child's level in all curricular areas.
Logging into Go Math: The first time on, you will need to click Billings School Dist. and Arrowhead, you can save this on your computer. The most beneficial components at home will be in the "My Library" section. The first square has videos that are great to see how we are teaching the skills in class. I know it is presented in a different way then a lot of us learned in the past. The goal is to provide many ways to understand math and allow kids to use the ones that are best for each individual. These methods also provide a more concrete understanding versus I found the answer, but I can't explain what the numbers mean. Other great resources are the yellow squares below the video to see the student editions books and activities. I hope this is helpful.
